Power of the two

Petra Volarević

Probudite fuziju u sebi i budite dio plemena! ATS nagrađivana umjetnica Petra Volarević pokazat će vam kako da to ostvarite!

„POWER OF THE TWO!“

Kako pokrete sporog vokabulara učiniti dinamičnijima, a pokrete brzog vokabulara dojmljivijima? Kako postići onaj Wow! faktor? Odgovor je jednostava:“Power of the Two!“.

Potrebno predznanje: 5 osnovnih pokreta iz brzog vokabulara: ¾ Shimmy, Arabic, Taxeem, Basic Egyptian (Half turn i Triple), Pivot Bump (Choo-choo); pokreti iz sporog vokabulara: Wrap Around, Barrell Turn, Camel, Reverse Turn, Propeller Turn; Calibrated Spins (iz Basic Egyptian pokreta).

“POWER OF THE TWO!”

The workshop is intended for those with intermediate and advanced knowledge of ATS®. We will address one of the formations: duet! Whether it is a slow or fast ATS®, power of the duet leaves no one indifferent.

Known moves we will apply in duets and give them a new dimension of dynamism and excitement. How to make slow movement vocabulary more dynamic and fast movement vocabulary even more impressive? How to achieve that Wow! factor? The answer is also simple: “Power of the Two”.

Prerequisites: 5 basic movements of rapid vocabulary: ¾ Shimmy, Arabic, taxes, Egyptian Basic (Half turn and Triple), Pivot Bump (Choo-Choo); movements from slow vocabulary: Wrap Around, Barrel Turn, Camel, Reverse Turn, Turn Propeller; Calibrated Spins (from Basic Egyptian movement).

Suvremeni oriental

Ana Jug

Suvremeni ples oslobađa, orijentalni ples zanosi, rezultat fuzije oba jest intencionalna ljepota.

TRIBAL FUSION:
Isolations, Combinations and Control:

After growing up in and with sports I have settled for dance as a substitute for more intense sport related activities about 6 years ago.

After falling in love with dance in general I began training Egyptian Oriental Dance( this also included oriental pop and oriental folklore).

After a relatively short period of time I moved on to Tribal Fusion and Bharatanatyam as I found those styles to be more suited for my interests.

I had to abandon Bharatanatyam after on e year of training as my time schedule did not allow the pursuit of this difficult dance form further. I am, however, grateful to this dance form for strength coordination and sense of body in space. Bharatanatyam is still a source of inspiration.

After moving away from Egyptian Oriental Dance and Bharatanatyam I decided to turn solely towards Tribal Fusion and specialize for scimitars as props (baladi and tribal steel scimitars).

I am a founder, trainer and leader of a small dance troup ” Walde” (the troup now has 10 performing members and a smaller number of students)-in our vocabulary we use Tribal Fusion, ATS, Indian Fusion, Dark Fusion, theatrical performance and variety of props.

Čarobne ruke, tehnika i kombinacije

Ksenija Visket

Njeno ime govori dovoljno te s osobitim zadovoljstvom i velikim poštovanjem predstavljamo KSENIJU VISKET

Radionica: ČAROBNE RUKE, tehnika i kombinacije:

Arms and Hands – Technique and combinations: …
Beautiful arms and hands are just as important as shimmies and accents. In this workshop we will explore integrating graceful arms and handwork into your practice to bring even more dynamics and polish to your performance. Conditioning exercises, drills and stretches to improve arm carriage and upper body flexibility as well as flowing combinations for beautiful, expressive arms and hands. A must-do for dancers of all levels!

When the question about oriental dance in Maribor (Slovenia) arises, the
answer is PLESNA DELAVNICA ZAHIR, led by charismatic Ksenija Visket.
At the beginning of her dancing career, Ksenija was a dancer of
modern and contemporary dance at Stil, the most famous dance group of
that time. After a long pause, she returned 15 years ago and was
immediately enthusiastically involved in Slovenia’s world of
oriental dance. The desire was growing and she made a decision. In
October 2008, a small oriental oasis called HIŠA ZAHIR (HOUSE ZAHIR)
was opened in the center of (the second biggest city in Slovenia,)
Maribor.

The credit for Slovenia being regularly involved in oriental belly dance
world go straight to her. She has been working with the biggest stars
of oriental dance, therefore Slovenian dancers can learn from the
best, even from the legends. She organizes workshops with the
world-renowned oriental dancers every year. Among these are maestro
Hossam Ramzy, Karim Nagi, Jillina with her BDE team and last but not
least, the legendary researcher and dancer Morocco (Aunt Rocky) who
is still her mentor and teacher. Ksenija regularly educates herself
both at home and abroad (currently in Vienna with Katerina Joumanova
and Keti Sharif), she takes part in various festivals, runs courses
in her dance studio in Maribor and organizes dance workshops. During
weekends, she trains in her studio.

Her philosophy in life is: “Life gives you just the right amount of
everything you need, so be always grateful!”
