O školi

Škola bolivuda Panna je počela sa radom u oktobru 2012. Osnivač i instruktor, Marina Stevanović, je poželela da okupi sve ljubitelje indijskih plesova iz Beograda. Iako je akcenat svakako na najmlađem i najmodernijem indijskom plesu, pored bolivuda polaznici se upoznaju sa mudrama, pokretima ruku koji dodatno dočaravaju priču koju prenose publici, zatim elementima klasičnih plesova kao što su baratanatjam, katak i odisi, kao i sa folklornim plesovima Indije – kalbelijom i popularnom bangrom. Budući da je bolivud potekao iz kinematografije, neizostavno je povezan sa glumom, pa se pored izučavanja različitih plesnih stilova dosta pažnje posvećuje i aspektu scenskog nastupa. Panna tim je posvećen ideji da što više ljudi upozna plesove mistične Indije. Rado se odazivaju pozivima na nastupe širom Srbije i gostovanja u emisijama, pa su tako gostovali u emisijama „Bračni sudija“ i „Moja velika svadba“, otvorili izložbu o Gandijevom životu u Svilajncu i doneli duh Indije na Dan Roma u organizaciji opštine Vračar, i nastupali na karnevalima u Požarevcu i Smederevu, humanitarnim događanjima poput Internacionalnog Bazara na Sajmu, festivalima kao što su Festival Zdravlja (Beograd), Orienthalia (Sombor), Awalim (Banja Luka), Daret el Ayam (Beograd) kao i godišnjim koncertima plesnih škola, bendova i kulturnih organizacija. Iako često organizuju indijske večeri, predavanja i radionice, najveći i najdraži projekat im je festival azijskih plesova „Dragulji Azije“ koji već četvrtu godinu u nizu okuplja plesače iz regiona i nudi jedinstvenu priliku publici da na istoj bini vide raznovrsne stilove ovog kontinenta.

About us

Bollywood dance school Panna started with classes in October 2012. Founder and teacher, Marina Stevanovic, wanted to gather all Indian dance lovers from Belgrade. Although the most important part is certainly the youngest and modern Indian dance – Bollywood, students are also introduced to mudras, hand gestures that additionally tell the story to the audience, then elements from classical dances such as Bharatnatyam, Kathak and Odissi, as well as folklore dance styles – Kalbeliya and popular Bhangra. Since Bollywood derived from cinematography and it is essentially connected with acting, we pay a lot of our attention to the drama aspect of the stage performance. Panna team devotedly works on introducing dances of mystical India to the public. They are eager to perform across Serbia and to appear on the TV shows – to name a few: “Marital Judge”, “My big wedding”, exhibition on Ghandi’s life in Svilajnac, Roma National day celebration organized by Vracar municipality, carnivals in Pozarevac and Smederevo, charity events like International Bazaar at Belgrade Fair, Festivals such as “Festival of Health” (Belgrade), “Orienthalia” (Sombor), “Awalim” (Banja Luka), “Daret el Ayam” (Belgrade) as well as dance school, musical and cultural shows. They often host “Indian night” events, lectures and workshops, but the biggest and dearest project is undoubtedly Festival of Asian dances “Jewels of Asia” which has been gathering dancers from the regions for four years in a row, and offers the unique opportunity for the audience to enjoy the variety of dances styles from that continent.

O belivudu

Bellywood je veoma mlada fuzija, nastala kao spoj orijentalnog plesa i sve popularnijeg plesa indijske kinematografije – bolivuda. Ovaj stil postaje sve popularniji među plesačima, zato što spaja senzualnost Orijenta i živahni bolivud, a može biti i posebno začinjen elementima folklora. Pleše se uz numere iz filmova bolivudske produkcije i ne postoje određena pravila za izgled kostima – dokle god sadrži elemente obe kulture.

Bellywood

Bellywood is a very young dance fusion, made as a confluence of belly dance and increasingly popular dance of Indian cinematography – Bollywood. This style is becoming more popular among the dancers  because it connects sensuality of the Orient and liveliness of Bollywood, and it can be additionally flavoured with some folklore elements. Bellywood dancers use item songs from bollywood movie production and there are no defined rules for the costume – as long it portraits the elements of both cultures.

O kataku

Katak je jedan od 8 priznatih klasičnih indijskih plesova. Kako potiče sa severa Indije, sami pokreti i kostim su dosta pod uticajem sufi plesova. Reč „katak“ znači „onaj koji priča priču“ te je svaki ples u stvari slikoviti prikaz života bogova i svojevremeno se isključivo izvodio u hramovima. Ovaj zahtevan stil uključuje okrete, brze pokrete nogu i gestikuliranje rukama, takozvane „mudre“, kojima se pripoveda. Dok katak, kao i svi klasični plesovi, ima određeni dijapazon pokreta, katak fuzija nudi plesačima veću slobodu i moderniji pristup ovom drevnom plesu.

Kathak

Kathak is on of 8 classical dances of India. As it originates from the North, the movements and costumes are highly influenced by Sufi dance. The word “kathak“ means “the storyteller“, therefore every dance is essentially depicting a story from the lives of gods, and it was formerly performed only in temples. This demanding style consists of spins, fast footwork and hand gestures, mudras, which are used in storytelling. As all other classical forms, Kathak has a regulated range of body movements, as opposed to Kathak fusion, where dancer have more freedom to express themselves and are enabled to approach from a modern point of view to this ancient dance.

Gorana

Ako još uvijek niste vidjeli izvedbu plesa s poijem, vrijeme je da da na našu scenu stupi Gorana, umjetnica iz Zagreba kojoj upućujemo veliku i toplu dobrodošlicu!

Gorana se plesom počela baviti 2004. godine, kada se upisala na tečaj orijentalnog plesa u školi „Zuzana“. Tamo se usmjerava na ples s rekvizitima, te se na kraju opredjeljuje za poi. Ples s poijem potječe od Maora, a u doslovnom prijevodu znači lopta na uzici.… U današnje vrijeme populariziran je kroz ples s vatrom, a umjesto vatre mogu se koristiti i svjetla, velovi i zastave.

Gorana started dancing in 2004, when signed up for oriental dance classes at dance studio Zuzana. She focused mainly on props, and finally opted for poi. Poi dancing originates from the Maori people, and literally means ball on a string. It gained popularity through the art of fire dancing, but can also be used with lights, veils and flags.

Branka Kovač

Naša sljedeća gošća pleše već dugi niz godina i taj isti dugi niz godina oduševljava lakoćom izvedbe i tehnike. Njene izvedbe odvele su je na posve nove plesne puteve. Dobrodošla, Branka Kovač!

Branku do orijentalnog plesa dovodi ljubav prema arapskom i turskom jeziku i muzici. 2005.g. počinje učiti od Zuzane Uhlirove, i kroz 6 godina u njenoj plesnoj školi prikuplja opsežno znanje egipatskog stila orijentalnog plesa. U isto vrijeme, u Centru za astrološku edukaciju Igora Ognjenovića i školi tarota Maje Cvjetanović Laboš prikuplja ezoterijsku mudrost, i počinje svoju plesnu praksu gledati drugačijim očima. Kroz bavljenje orijentalnim plesom i kroz jogijsku praksu postalo joj je lako osjetiti suptilne energetske centre i tok prane kroz fizičko tijelo, a na radionicama Luke Klančnika produbljuje svoju povezanost sa energijom srca i intuitivne sposobnosti. Osjeća veliku želju da poveže svo dobiveno znanje i da predstavi ples kao iscijeljujući ritual koji je dio naše svakodnevice. Sa Marinelom Strejček 2013.g. otvara Centar “A’Mariyah” i ostvaruje taj svoj san. U sklopu centra vodi žensku ezoterijsku školu Spirit of Tara, gdje organizira holističke plesne radionice, plesno – zvučna putovanja, vodi školu tarota i daje intuitivna čitanja.

 

Love towards arabic and turkish language and music lead Branka to oriental dance. In 2005 she starts studying from Zuzana Uhlirova, and during 6 years in Zuzana’s dance school gains vast knowledge of egyptian oriental dance. At the same time, at Igor Ognjenović’s Centre for astrological education and Maja Cvjetanović Laboš’s School of Tarot she gathers esoteric wisdom, and starts to see her dance practice from a different perspective. By dancing the egyptian style of oriental dance and through the practice of yoga it became easy for her to feel the etheric body, energy centres, and the flow of prana through the physical body. Through the workshops of Luka Klančnik she deepens her connection to energy of the heart and her intuitive abilities. Her goal becomes to unite all gained knowledge, and to present dance as a healing ritual that forms a part of our everyday lives. Together with Marinela Strejček she opens Centre “A’Mariyah” in 2013. There she runs her Feminine esoteric school Spirit of Tara, in which she holds healing dance workshops, school of tarot and gives intuitive readings.

Ksenija Visket

Pozdravimo gošću iz Slovenije, umjetnicu koja očarava ljepotom svojih plesnih rapsodija Kseniju Visket

“When the question about oriental dance in Maribor (Slovenia) arises, the answer is PLESNA DELAVNICA ZAHIR, led by charismatic Ksenija Visket. At the beginning of her dancing career, Ksenija was a dancer of modern and contemporary dance at Stil, the most famous dance group of that time. After a long pause, she returned 15 years ago and was immediately enthusiastically involved in Slovenia’s world of oriental dance. The desire was growing and she made a decision. In October 2008, a small oriental oasis called HIŠA ZAHIR (HOUSE ZAHIR) was opened in the center of (the second biggest city in Slovenia,) Maribor.

The credit for Slovenia being regularly involved in oriental belly dance world go straight to her. She has been working with the biggest stars of oriental dance, therefore Slovenian dancers can learn from the best, even from the legends. She organizes workshops with the world-renowned oriental dancers every year. Among these are maestro Hossam Ramzy, Karim Nagi, Jillina with her BDE team and last but not least, the legendary researcher and dancer Morocco (Aunt Rocky) who is still her mentor and teacher. Ksenija regularly educates herself both at home and abroad (currently in Vienna with Katerina Joumanova and Keti Sharif), she takes part in various festivals, runs courses in her dance studio in Maribor and organizes dance workshops. During weekends, she trains in her studio.

Her philosophy in life is: “Life gives you just the right amount of everything you need, so be always grateful!”

Irena Sertić Shireen

-Na ovoj radionici upoznati ćemo se sa osnovama i pokazati sličnosti i razlike između polinezijskog i orijentalnog plesa.

Bellynesian stil nastao je kao ideja da se stvori posve nova fuzija dvaju vrlo ženstvenih plesova u kojoj se spajaju brz i impresivan tahićanski i senzualni orijentalni.

Vlasnica sam plesne udruge Shireen ,voditeljica rekreativne orijentalne grupe Gulbahar, članica romske skupine Romani chaj i hrvatske show grupe Trio Fantastiko koja na festivalu Oriental love 2015. osvaja treće mjesto u kategoriji show grupa. Ove godine započinjem s projektom organizacije festivala Oriental Fusion Stars u Zagrebu.

Moj plesni put počeo je jako rano jer sam se kao dijete bavila ritmikom i plesala folklor 6 godina. Fasciniranost orijentalnim plesom vodio me je kroz škole Zuzana, Nefertiti i Ritam plesa i na tom putu upoznajem se sa mnogim stilovima poput polinezijskog, tahićanskog, romskog. Jedno vrijeme članica sam i voditeljica plesne skupine Nefertiti. Rekreativno plešem kod instruktora latino­američkih, standardnih i društvenih plesova Tihomira Ciglara.

Želja mi je pokazati koliko je pozitivan ples kojim se bavim, koliko je nebitno ostanete li samo na rekreaciji ili se njime bavite profesionalno..jer bitno je kako dočaravate taj dah Orijenta i sa koliko nesebičnosti i osjećaja dijelite svoju plesnu ljubav s publikom. Jer to je ono što se broji i što vas čini jedinstvenom.

 

I am the owner of a dance association Shireen, a head of oriental recreational group Gulbahar, the member of the Roma group Romani chaj and a member of Croatian show group Trio Fantastiko who won a third place at the Oriental Love festival in Belgrade 2015. This year I am organizing Oriental Fusion Stars festival in Zagreb.

I started to dance very early, so I danced folklore for over six years and also trained rhythmics. Fascination with oriental dance led me through schools Zuzana, Nefertiti and Rhythm of dance.

Along the way I learned many styles such as Polynesian , Tahitian , Roma dance. For a while I also was a member and leader of the dance group Nefertiti.

Also, I dance at school of Tihomir Ciglar, a teacher of Latin American dances, standard dances and social dances.

My wish is to show how positive this dance is, no matter if you stay only on recreation, or you do it as professional. It counts only if you evoke the breath of the Orient with much sense of selflessness, so you can share your love of dance with your audience. Because that’s what counts and what makes you unique.
